Vol. 13: Bailing Out

this is hilarious. today, the Crypt Keeper--I mean Sen. John McCain--announced that because of the financial problems plaguing this country, he would be putting his campaign, and subsequently (tho not directly stated) the debate which will be taking place in two days time, on hold. minutes after, Barack Obama stated that he will continue campaigning because the country needs to understand where the two candidates are in this situation. probably more now than ever.

now this move by McCain could have been smart, had he done it with a little more class; do something drastic, highly publicized, and controversial, and see what ur opponent does. those are the rules of war. however there has been one thing that everyone seems to be missing. the debate.. the debate was just announced on yesterday, and now, today, nearly 2 weeks after this financial collapse took place, he "decides that it is the right move to go back to Washington to support the Senate." now there is some truth to that. yes, it is probably a good idea for the senators as well as the House Reps to meet and devise an effective course of action in order to expedite this meltdown as quickly as possible. however, i dont think that being part of the crowd should be the main concern of the Presidential candidates. in other words, this wall st disaster has given McCain a scapegoat to postpone a debate that has been put off already for damn near the whole election season. all this is is a bail out. neither one of them, and Obama agrees, needs to rush back to Washington for this decision. the people need to know exactly where these two potential leaders stand with this issue, along with the SEVERAL other issues this country has. they need to debate. but McCain and just about the rest of the country knows that once this debate takes place it will be over and done with for the Republican nominee.

this whole financial thing is just funny. sad and scary, but funny.i think Tony Montana said it best:
"you know what capitalism is? gettin' fucked!"

just a thought.

so till next time, peace, love, and eternal happyness.
get off ur AAS and rokk your body to its CoR.

iloveyou sweetness.

In arguments, this tactic is called "changing the subject." And Mr. O'Drama did the right thing by quickly agreeing that this is a crisis, but that's precisely why the American people need to hear what we would and are going to do.
